ARCHED HEAD – Head of a Horse
The head of a horse is something which I never get bored from trying to capture. It can say so much in the shape of the nose, or the eyes, – I suppose like our human faces….they hold a full chapter of stories which are sometimes hard to hide.
In this bronze sculpture of a horse head, I wanted to capture the elegance of a horse’s head when they arch their head and I have slightly twisted it to one side just to create added movement but also when you are riding, sometimes, the sway of the head from one side to another is reassuring. My marks accentuate the direction of movement. This horse knows his own beauty.
The equestrian sculpture of a horse head can be placed in an elegant sitting room, as the size enables it to be reasonably prominent and can stand in its own space on its own, or as part of a selection of decorative pieces.
